Don't Try to Deflate the ESPYs

October 30, 2015

Regardless of the outcome of the recent NFL turmoil surrounding the New England Patriots and Tom Brady, the ESPY Awards will not be deflated this year. Quite the opposite. The ESPYs are one of the most unique award shows of any year, but not simply because they celebrate sports. It's because of the way they celebrate.

Although this is a sports-centric awards show, there are lots of non-athletes in attendance. Movie stars, musicians, fashion models and comedians will all be converging on the Nokia Theatre in beautiful, sunny Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 15, to celebrate all things sport. Nobody's going to let the air out of this show, that's for sure. If anything, the Deflate-Gate fiasco should give the presenters plenty to joke about during the proceedings.

In case you didn't know, ESPY stands for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly. It's the ultimate gathering of athletes, broadcasters, owners and all the attendant folks who hang around them. When you add in the large, lively crowd, you've suddenly got yourself a real event.

There's really no way of knowing who will be there. But there's one way you can find out for sure. That's by picking up some tickets right here at VIP Award Show Tickets. We have the tickets to place you firmly in your seat to behold the bold, the brave, the unpredictable and the noteworthy moments of the 2015 ESPY Awards. You can be there, among other fans who love sports. They love to watch it, they love to play it and they love to talk about it. And there will surely be enough to talk about this year, especially given the dire punishment meted out by Roger Goodell to the Patriots.

Don't be a wannabe. Be there for all the excitement of the annual ESPY awards. It's the competition that celebrates the competitors. It's the awards show that isn't afraid to make fun of itself and the athletes it honors. With tongue firmly planted in cheek, the show will honor and skewer the very people it applauds.

Naturally, the ESPS Awards are broadcast live, but who wants to watch them from a sports bar or your neighbor's couch? It's OK to get on out to the show and have some fun. In fact, we insist on it. There is nothing like a major awards show, and the ESPYs are the only show that celebrates the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, as they used to say on the Wide World of Sports. As Howard Cosell said, "Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!"
