Steven King is one of the most successful, prolific writers in the world. Many of his novels have been magically turned into films, and many more will probably get the celluloid treatment. King's latest series of novels has generated a film sequel to the series of Dark Tower books King has been dutifully writing lo these many years. There are eight books in the series, and The Dark Tower film is going to draw off those novels and pull random characters and settings from other books King has written. The author says the series is his magnum opus, which is probably true since the books total a whopping 4,250 pages. There's plenty to pick from with such a lengthy backstory.

A project of this importance attracts the best and brightest that Hollywood has to offer. Matthew McConaughey is starring as the Man in Black (no relation to Johnny Cash), so that should serve to give notice that this is a big production. He's only won an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor, among other awards and nominations. The Man in Black is a very powerful, evil wizard. Idris Elba plays the role of the Gunslinger, who's taking names and saving souls. Elba has been in the news as a possible new James Bond. You probably saw him on The Wire or the British show Luther. The Man in Black leads the Gunslinger across the desert to the Dark Tower, but will the Gunslinger be able to conquer the evil-doers and preserve his dying world? You'll have to watch the film to find out.

Speaking of which, you can go to the local mega-plex and catch The Dark Tower on one of those tiny little screens, or you could whip out your plastic and pop for a pair of tickets to the July 24 world premiere that's going down in fragrant, magnificent Los Angeles, the belly of the film world. If that's not a no-brainer, I don't know what is. I mean, it won't even be in the theaters (in 2-D 3-D or whatever D you want) until August 4. Plus, and here's the real frosting on the entertainment cake, VIP Movie Premiere Tickets has passes to the private, fashionable and elite after party which will most certainly be held in someplace nicer than The Dark Tower. What a night! First you get red carpet access to the world premiere of The Dark Tower, and then you get to mosey over to the after party and revel in the celebration as the good folks associated with the film get together for one last group hug.

Check out the trailer, and see what you think. Looks pretty cool, doesn't it? Steven King definitely threw his hat into the dystopian society writer's club in a big way, as only King could do. Here at VIP Movie Premiere Tickets, we're standing by to do what we do best--we're going to hook you up with tickets to the red carpet world premiere of The Dark Tower, and we'll get you inside the ultra-exclusive after party. Reward yourself for all your hard work. You'll be glad that you did.
