Movie fans are obviously starved for comedies. That has to be the reason that the trailer for Zoolander 2 smashed all the records for views of a comedy trailer. Now only that, but it broke the record in just two weeks. It was first posted on the web on November 18, and the response has been enormous. The previous record-holder was the trailer for Dumb and Dumber To, which was another sequel to a very popular film that was far back in the movie world's rear-view mirror.Movie trailers have a life of their own, apart from the films they advertise. Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the fashion runways again, here comes Zoolander 2. Of course, neither Derek Zoolander nor his model buddy Hansel, played by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson respectively, could have foretold what was coming their way.  Years after their successes as untouchable supermodels, they are suddenly old and lame, or as Derek would say it, "lamé."
